Anvil Campground - Busch Gardens - Review

Writer's picture: -Slides Out-Slides Out

A very cute campground.

This campground is located near Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. Knowing that, you can guess the theme is a Jamestown settlement feel.

They are an award winning campground. Personally, I think they won because of their customer service. The staff is super friendly.

From booking the site to the day-before follow up instructions, check-in and camp store all staff members that I came in contact with were southern friendly.

In addition, my camp neighbors were very nice as well. The spot near the front that I had was a bit close to my neighbor but we made out fine. The sites in the back looked like they has more room between sites though.

Oh, almost forgot to mention, there is a train that goes right next to the campground. I thought it was kinda cool. Kids would too. But other than that it was fairly quiet.

And yes, I was able to back-in my 40' 5th

wheel - with help from the friendly camping neighbors.

There is also a heated pool which you don't see at many campgrounds.
