Northpoint RV resort is right off I-95 so it is very convenient for overnight stops. It is said to be the half way point between New York and Miami. There is a fair amount of long-term spots at this campground in the back. Shorter term camping is towards front. Everyone I’ve met so far has been very friendly. The spots are mostly gravel some spots have a small concrete area with an outdoor dinette set. They have a seasonal pool and host holiday picnics. The playground and the dog park was recently updated (Fall 2025).

Convenient to everything, the Carolina Premium Outlets are nearby and just about any food place you would want is within 10 minutes. Close to things but just far enough to not be in the middle of it. The train is tracks are a half mile away and you can hear it when it comes through.

The Pros: The staff is great! The campers (full-timers and short-timers) have been very friendly. There seems to be a fair amount of open spots upfront. I think those are saved for the overnight to short term stays, so there should be availability. There is access to a lake for fishing. I have talked to a few campers that have caught some decent sized fish, however, all I’ve caught so far has been grass.😄 Get your fishing supplies before you go, this rocking camping chair is my favorite. Even if I don't catch anything I enjoy sitting there rocking and watching the ducks.

The Cons: if you go to the back area where the long-term full-time people are, there are some… “unkept” campers. No judgement, just observation.

If you are staying during the winter be sure to remove your blue water filters from the hose or replace the hose with a heated hose, this is recommended.

Overall, I really like this campground the people were nice and down to earth, even families with young well behaved kids living here made it feel welcoming and safe. The front desk staff was very nice and always helpful.

STARLINK COVERAGE REVIEW: For the spots upfront are very open to sky coverage so you would not have a problem. I would think the spots towards the back have a lot of tall trees so you would need to find a spot that has a break in the trees that points in the direction of the satellites. There are some good spots towards the front and middle, but depending on your spot if you’re in the back may have trees blocking the sky.

I stayed here at the end of April 2024, before the theme park opened. The park opens next week😕 The roads and spots are paved with grass...
